Evan Geiger is a trans author and former band director who spent seventeen years teaching music. After years of helping students find their voices, he turned to fiction as another way of asking difficult questions: Who gets to belong? What makes a family? And how do people build lives beyond the roles others have chosen for them? He writes carefully constructed worlds filled with complicated characters who often find home in one another. He currently lives in Puerto Vallarta, Mexico.

When he is not writing, Evan is usually watching Colorado Avalanche hockey, gaming on his PS5, or negotiating workspace boundaries with his cat, Moose.
