The Bound Worlds

About

The Bound Worlds is a shared fantasy-romance universe in which every world has its own magic, culture, conflicts, and central relationship.

Each novel contains a complete romantic and external arc, allowing the books to stand alone even as they contribute to a larger mythology.

Some stories unfold in isolation, while others bring characters and societies into collision. New readers can enter the universe through several different books because the characters are often discovering its hidden history alongside them. Readers who continue across the series will find deeper connections between the magic systems, recurring characters, and the ancient force that shaped every world differently.

At the center of the universe are stories about people finding agency, connection, and belonging inside societies built around fear, secrecy, or control. The larger mythology matters, but it never replaces the human story. Each novel is ultimately about the people living in a world altered by forces they may not yet understand.

Worlds Shaped by Magic

In Evermere, magic is hidden, regulated, and controlled through covens. In Alder Row, it is woven into daily life through wands, charms, and apothecary work, with its citizens unaware that other magical worlds exist.

In Beneath the Veil, an emergency system created to prevent recurring magical disasters has hardened over generations into bureaucracy, propaganda, and sacrifice. Each society has developed independently, shaped by a history whose missing pieces are only beginning to surface.

The Barrier

The barrier separating the worlds is the connective tissue of the series and, in many ways, its recurring character. It is not the central plot of every book. Instead, each story reveals another way it has shaped the people living in its shadow.

Unbound begins the Evermere storyline. What We Lose in the Quiet uncovers the barrier’s origins, while What Waits Between Worlds brings Evermere and Alder Row together as both societies confront a barrier that is harming magical people but may also be holding their worlds intact. Across the larger arc, the question shifts from how to preserve the barrier to whether it can become something entirely new: not simply a wall between worlds, but a way through.

The Central Mythology

Unbound

The first modern Evermere novel. A woman condemned by her past, a man untouched by the town’s magic, and a returning investigator become entangled in a curse that has taught an entire community not to want.

What We Lose in the Quiet

The mythology book. Journey inside the barrier itself to uncover what it truly is, why it's failing, and what it has been protecting all along.

What Waits Between Worlds

The worlds collide. Evermere and Alder Row meet as the fate of every magical society depends on solving the barrier once and for all.
